I can't deny it. I have blogged before!
*Oh My!*
But never as a team, and never for an actual purpose. In this case, the purpose is more a good grade than anything.
I must say that if there is one thing I have learned, it is the potential of a blog written with purpose.
This project, more than anything, got me thinking about how exciting blogs are as a tool for communication with my peers and associates in the library field. With care and dedication I could carefully craft a blog the address of which could then be printed on a business card and handed out at conferences.
It is a great way to communicate and a great way to collaborate.
I am certainly not used to writing with others. I have practiced writing outside of a group structure for over twenty years. It was refreshing to introduce another person to the process.
I only hope I didn't come off as too pushy!
A blog dedicated to showing how tabletop gaming collections might be relevant to libraries and library users. Though we might convince library decision and policy makers that there is a place for board games in many libraries it is also to be expected that not all libraries would be considered appropriate for such material. This blog will help people to make decisions concerning the procurement of such material for their own facility.
